The Fair is underpinned by a series of special projects contributing to the dialogue on contemporary art. This programming reinforces the Fair's reputation as the most comprehensive and thought-provoking art experience in Canada.

The News at Five: The much-acclaimed series of rotating exhibitions curated by Canadian Art magazine editor Richard Rhodes. Visitors enjoy a new project exhibition from installation to completion each day as new work is unveiled and presented by the curator and participating artists at 5pm sharp. Each exhibition is on display until the following afternoon.

Power Talks: Lecture series organized in partnership with The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery and led by prominent figures in today's international art world. Topics range from contemporary curatorial issues to collecting, and the business of art. Power Talks is developed and presented by The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery with all ticket proceeds benefiting The Power Plant.

T at Three: An insightful and stimulating interview series conducted by Border Crossings magazine senior contributing editor Robert Enright. Each day at 3pm, Enright will engage artists, curators, critics and dealers in exclusive one-on-one live interviews about their work and its place in the world of contemporary art. T at Three offers a unique perspective on the making and meaning of artist works brought to TIAF by galleries from across Canada and around the world. Presented in partnership with Border Crossings magazine and the Toronto International Art Fair.

Fresh Avant-Garde: A designated area of the Fair presents a select group of young galleries showcasing edgy and challenging work by emerging national and international artists. Artwork in this section is priced at under $5,000.

Open Spaces: Special projects, installations and/or exhibits of curatorial value and public interest to be viewed within a less formal and more open exhibition space.
