Special Projects
The Fair is underpinned by a series of special projects contributing to the dialogue on contemporary art. This programming reinforces the Fair's reputation as the most comprehensive and thought-provoking art experience in Canada.
The News at Five
The much-acclaimed series of rotating exhibitions curated by Canadian Art magazine editor Richard Rhodes. Visitors enjoy a new project exhibition from installation to completion each day as new work is unveiled and presented by the curator and participating artists at 5pm sharp. Each exhibition is on display until the following afternoon.
T at Three
An insightful and stimulating interview series conducted by Border Crossings magazine senior contributing editor Robert Enright. Each day at 3pm, Enright will engage artists, curators, critics and dealers in exclusive one-on-one live interviews about their work and its place in the world of contemporary art. T at Three offers a unique perspective on the making and meaning of artist works brought to TIAF by galleries from across Canada and around the world. Presented in partnership with Border Crossings magazine and the Toronto International Art Fair.
artACCESS
Sponsored by ADAC (Art Dealers Association of Canada)
artACCESS is a program of talks and tours for novice art buyers and collectors. In collaboration with ADAC, artACCESS is geared towards audiences interested in learning about looking at and purchasing art but who are intimidated by the sometimes enigmatic ways of galleries and contemporary art. Art professionals will demystify the wonderful world of art by addressing ways to get involved in art, including how to navigate an art fair with a post talk orientation tour of Art Toronto.
Power Talks
Power Talks presents influential art world figures in discussion about their current projects, preoccupations and ideas. In a polarized environment in which large audiences, widespread media interest, and record prices for contemporary art are matched by decreased public funding, speakers discuss the balancing acts that they perform as leaders of some of the world’s most admired visual arts institutions.
